Daruma san

I met this small Daruma in my parents house.

He is really cute isn’t it? He is a Monaka, a JP’s traditional sweets put Red bean paste inside. I stared him for a while. I integrated with him in my stomach at last.

Daruma came from India to Japan from a very long time ago. Have you heard Bodhidharma? (達磨大使)A Bodhidharma is a red-painted good luck doll with round shape. When a person’s wish come true, Daruma’s eyes can be painted .
